Perry de Graaf

For Perry nature photography is a hobby that gives him a lot of joy. He likes getting up early to enjoy the early morning light and to be "out there" when other people are still sleeping. It is also a good excuse to travel to beautiful and remote places in Southern Africa and Alaska.

The spectacular scenery and the wildlife keeps bringing him back to Alaska. He can still vividly remember the excitement he felt when he saw his first wolf in the wild. A dream came true when he won a permit for the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary. It's very special to be surrounded by brown bears and to see them catching salmon. One day he hopes to see and photograph a wolverine.

He lives and works near Rotterdam and that is also where he does most of his photography in the Netherlands. Although his main interest is mammals and birds he also likes landscape and macro photography.
