Getting around in Zeeland

Finding your way around in Zeeland is easy when you know to find the dive shops. They can provide you with all the information you need to find the dive sites, about the current tables and of course to fill your tank.

The two biggest and most famous dive shops are found on the island of “Schouwen-duiveland”. This island is between the Grevelingen and the Oosterschelde, so it’s the best place to be when you want to dive in the Netherlands. In the small village of Nieuwerkerk you will find the divecentre “Waterworld”. In the village of Scharendijke you will find divecenter the Grevelingen. Scharendijke also has a small diveshop in the harbour. All these divecenters have filling machines where you can fill your tank yourself. All you need is to read the instructions and a handful of 50 euro cent coins. Divecenter the Grevelingen in Scharendijke also has a big camping where you could stay. But there are many more campings on the island, it’s even possible to stay on small campings on a farm.
